A George Kell autographed American League (Gene Budig President) baseball is in this lot. George signed the ‘sweet spot’ and added, ‘HOF 83’ with a black ink pen. George played the infield for the Athletics (Philadelphia), Tigers, Red Sox, White Sox and the Orioles; his career went from 1943-1957. His career average was .306. He was in multiple All-Star games and was the American League batting champ in 1949. He was inducted into baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1983. He passed away in 2009. His signature has been authenticated by Sheldon and Ira Kates of Hooked on Cards.
