A fine example of an antique Johnny Vander Meer Cincinnati Reds wood mini baseball bat is presented in this lot. Bat has a replica signature of Johnny Vander Meer at the end of this wood bat. Johnny Vander Meer was a starting pitcher for the 1930s Cincinnati Reds and threw consecutive no-hitters in 1938, a feat that will probably stand the test of time. In the center, there is the maker’s stampings marked ‘Krens’ Special.’ Bold markings are depicted on this 1930s antique baseball collectible that would make a welcome addition to any collection.
