Evelyn Levy Shaw Original Charcoal Drawing "Carl"
Item Details
An original 1937 charcoal drawing on thick paper by well-listed mid-century artist Evelyn Levy Shaw (Cincinnati, 1921-2009), titled, Carl. The drawing is a portrait of a clean-cut young man’s bust. He wears a suit and tie, and gazes to the right with a look of mild concern on his face. The simple portrait sits in the center of an otherwise blank page. The drawing is titled, signed ‘E. Levy,’ and dated in charcoal in the lower margin. It is presented behind glass in a wide modern gilt frame with a wire attached to the verso for hanging.
