An original charcoal drawing on paper by well known and listed modern regional artist Evelyn Levy Shaw (Cincinnati, 1921 – 2009), titled, Portrait of a Young Man In Tie. The images depicts a seated man wearing a vest and tie, lost in thought as he tugs on the arm openings of his vest. The artist has thoughtfully rendered the man’s anatomy using a planar study of value in the charcoal medium. Signed in charcoal to the lower right, ‘EVE.’ The drawing has been mounted behind glass in a beveled wood frame with gesso cast applique and gilt finish.
