A Junichiro Sekino (Japanese, 1914–1988) Kyoto House, c. 1960-70s, limited edition 95/100, woodblock print. This piece features a contemporary cropped composition and slightly abstracted depiction of a Kyoto type house in hues of flat gray, black, tan, blue, and red. Signed in pencil and in the woodblock in the bottom right corner, matted, framed and presented under glass. Sekino is a part of the following international museum’s collections such as the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York, The Boston Museum of Fine Arts or the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris. Sekino works in a range of different techniques and styles.
