An original oil on canvas painting by contemporary German painter Herbert Isenberg (1930-). The painting depicts a band of European hunters setting out on horses for a day of hunting. Several hunting dogs fill the ground around them. A beautiful forest scene alongside a body of water surrounds the men and animals. This brilliantly detailed painting is signed by the artist in paint in the lower right corner. More information about the artist can be found attached to the verso of the painting, as well as at the link at the bottom of this page. The back of the canvas is marked with a shield-shaped crest and the words Viktoria Malleinin, signifying this canvas was made by the reputable British art supply company of the same name. There is no hanging wire on this piece.
