Tadashi Nakayama (Japanese 1927-2014) Girl in the Wind, 1956, woodblock print. The woodblock print depicts a profile portrait of young girl wearing a yellow blouse looking into the distance with black birds in the background against a green field. Matted, framed and presented under glass. Signed and dated in pencil in left bottom corner. Nakayama combined influences from traditional Japanese ukiyo-e prints with Western painting. This print’s multiple is currently hanging in the Brooklyn Museum.
