Vintage 1960's Life-Size KFC Colonel Sanders Weathervane Sign

A vintage life size painted metal advertising weathervane sign featuring Colonel Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame. The double-sided weathervane topper features the Colonel, with cane pointed to the sky, dressed in his iconic white suit accented by a ribbon tie, his face detailed with eyeglasses, moustache and goatee and a smile. The figure is supported on a short metal pole and originally topped a weathervane with directionals which was displayed on the roof of a Kentucky Fried Chicken. A great example of roadside architectural signage.
