An original oil painting on canvas by well-listed American artist Thomas Manning Moore, circa 1940, titled, Evening in the Valley. The image depicts a snowy, wintry landscape in the midst of a wood, a small clearing reveals a cozy log cabin with smoke rolling out of the chimney. Artist signature is signed in paint to the lower right corner. Presented in its original beveled wood frame with gesso cast applique and a re-painted putty colored finish. To the verso, the title and artist signature are marked in pencil.

- craquelure and light accretion across painting surface. Light wear to finish of frame.
