Niekro and Rose Signed 44 Hit Streak Display

An incredible piece of baseball history comprises this lot. The framed display has an autographed photo of Pete Rose; he signed his name and added ‘44 games’ with a blue marker. The photo has a PSA (Professional Sports Authenticators) sticker located at the lower right hand corner. Matted below the photo is an actual full game ticket from the game in which Pete got his 44th consecutive hit of the season, which came against Phil Niekro. Phil and Pete signed the ticket; Phil with a blue marker, Pete with a blue ink pen. The ticket’s date is July 31, 1978, this was the last game Pete got a hit, his streak came to an end on the next game.
