A circa 1950 Wony Ltd Japan carved wood cat figure. The piece is carved from textured striated wood. The cat has a triangular ears and wide head with applied yellow eyes and red nose with plastic whiskers, skinny neck and carved accents to the stomach. The attached to the tail is brown braided rope. The piece is marked with an attached maker’s sticker attached to the verso.

Condition

- overall, nick to right ear, tail end is unbraiding, nick to backside of head, other wear consistent with age.
