Ikki Matsumoto Signed Print "Skimming the White Caps"

A signed offset lithograph print after the original work by wildlife artist Ikki Matsumoto (Tokyo/Cincinnati/Sanibel Island, 1935 – 2014), titled, Skimming the White Caps. The image depicts a beautiful pelican soaring above the foaming sea. Matsumoto attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1957 to study under Charley Harper, and his influence is certainly evident. The title of this print is handwritten to the lower left margin. The artist signature is hand-signed to the lower right margin. The print is professionally mounted behind gray and pale sea-green double mat, under glass, in a simple wood frame with a natural stained finish.
