Diane J. Schutte Original Mixed Media Abstract Painting

An original mixed media collage and painting, signed Diane J. Schutte. This beautiful abstract piece layers paper, tissue paper, leaf skeletons, gold foil, paint, and pastels to create a dynamic abstract work. Geometric shapes criss-cross the piece, and are filled with soft shades of black, green, yellow, blue, and periwinkle. Diverse textures add interest and movement across the image. The small square piece is matted on fibrous white hand-ripped paper, which is signed in the lower right in pencil. This paper is mounted on a black backing, and is presented behind glass in an impasto textured gilt frame. A wire is attached to the verso of the piece for hanging.
