Antique 1894 Danzig Gew 88 Mauser Rifle

Item Details

An antique 1894 Danzig Gew 88 Mauser rifle. It features an 8mm bolt action rifle with a robust wooden stock. The bolt housing is marked’Danzing 1894’, ‘Gew 88’, ‘6260’, and it is stamped with a crescent symbol on both the housing and the bolt handle. The barrel bands are marked ‘B.10.R.R.8.224’ and ‘E.F.R.E-1.18’, respectively. While manufactured in 1894, such weapons were used by Turkish units during WWI. This explains why the area beneath the trigger guard is marked ‘1914’. Comes with an unscrewable ramrod housed beneath the barrel. Bolt worked upon testing.
