A charming early 20th century hand colored etching by artist George Derville Rowlandson (1861 – 1928, England), best known for his equestrian portraits titled ‘A Kill in the Open’, depicting hounds pouncing on their kill in a countryside fox hunt. Writing to bottom of etching reads ‘Painted by G. D. Rowlandson ’A Kill in the Open’ etched according to act of Congress in the year 1900 by Lewis Wolff & Co. in the office of the Librarian of Congress of Washington, London Published March 1900 by Lewis Wolff & Co. 245, Tottenham Court Rd. Copyright registered.’ This piece is archival framed in a deep slate blue gray with a multi beveled walnut stain wood frame.

- slight yellowing to etching consistent with age
