1915 Western Electric Candlestick Telephone With Operator Headset

An antique non-dial black candlestick telephone with an operator’s headset by Western Electric, circa 1915. The phone was for an operator working at the Erie Lackawanna Railway. There is a sticker on the shaft reading ‘You are the Voice of the Erie Lackawanna Be Friendly Be Courteous’. The phone also features a round base and straight shaft. The base of the phone is marked ‘Western Electric Made in U.S.A.’ and ‘Pat in USA’ along with the dates-last one being June 26, 1915. The phone does not work.
