An original oil painting on canvas by listed artist Adeline A. Hoagland (Kentucky, 20th Century). The image depicts two children at the seashore, as they walk away from the viewer and toward the beckoning sea, pail in hand. Artist signature and date are signed in paint to the lower right. The painting is mounted inside a wood paneled frame with a gilt finish. A Closson’s Cincinnati gallery sticker is attached to the verso.

Condition

- the painting’s outer sides are wrapped in a black paper adhesive, which is lifting along the edges. Finish of frame is worn on corners and edges.
