Japanese Meiji Period Yamatoku Signed Porcelain Charger

Item Details

An antique Japanese Arita, Imari transferware charger from the later part of the Meiji Period (1868-1912). The charger features a blue on white scene of five samurai sitting on the ground playing games and music. The underside of the charger has three blue floral accents and is signed with the Yamatoku (Mountain Virtue) embossed stamp in four katagana characters.
