Pair of Benito Diaz Watercolors of Santa Prisca Church, Mexico

Item Details

A pair of stunning watercolor paintings by listed contemporary Mexican artist Benito Diaz. Both paintings depict the Santa Prisca Church in Taxco, Mexico from different angles. In these paintings, the iconic dome and turrets of the church rise above a small Mexican townscape filled with stucco buildings with red-roof tiles, overgrowing gardens of bright flowers, and winding cobblestone streets. The paintings are signed in black watercolor in the lower right corners. They are both triple-matted in white, gilt, and white, and are presented behind non-glare glass in matching gilt frames. Wires are attached to the verso of each for hanging.
