Art Glass Vase and Art Pottery Dish

A duo of handmade art vessels. An art glass vase in amber glass with chunks of glass around the outside of the mouth has been embellished with sweeps or gray and white granular glass on the surface which play against the swirls of opalescent colors. It is accompanied by a certificate of guarantee that it is a handmade object and a product of a Maestro Vetraio, a master of glass making. The second object is a large glazed ceramic dish. The slab of clay has been folded to mimic the shape of a flower or leaf. An actual leaf was then pressed into the clay. When dry, the object was decoratively finished in glazes of the colors of nature, brown, green, tan, and blue. A handful of melted glass forms the center of the flower.
