A framed Robert Wood offset lithograph. Pacific Coast, 1945, shows trees growing out over the ocean from an on land vantage point. Pacific Coast is part of Wood’s Carmel Coast series, set along the California coast and painted during World War II. Wood (1889-1979) was born in England, immigrating to the US after serving in the Royal Army, where he lived in several states, painting local and regional landscapes. Print comes in gold tone frame elaborately ornamented with leaf and scroll carving. Compliments item 15LOU119-128.
