An antique Russian silver cigarette case. Features an inscription in Russian, dated 1944. Includes a Lapis Lazuli cabochon on the clasp. Features a design of a man battling dragon. Includes a makers mark of a cyrillic F and P indicating the Moscow silversmith Feodosil Ivanovich Pekin, whose work was made between 1899 and 1908. This makers mark is to the left of another mark which would most likely indicate the percentage of silver and city of origin if legible. This style of marking began in 1908.
