An original 1986 Prismacolor colored pencil drawing on black paper by well-listed Oregon/Arizona artist William ‘Joe’ Maktima (1962-), titled Sweet Nowhere. The image depicts a Hopi pattern drawn in soft blocks of yellow, teal, and white. Geometric shapes beautifully interlock into a pinwheel pattern. The drawing is signed and dated in teal pencil in the lower right corner. The drawing is matted in gray and is presented behind glass in a thin silver-toned frame.
