A ‘Lucinda’ Signed and Numbered Serigraph by Itzchak Tarkay. Housed in a rich wood frame, this double-matted serigraph is hand signed and numbered by the artist, Itzchak Tarkay (1935-2012). Born on the Yugoslav-Hungarian border, Tarkay and his family were taken to a Nazi concentration camp in 1944. Liberated a year later, Tarkay went on to earn a scholarship to the Avni Art Academy where he studied under a multitude of influential Israeli artists. He became known for his intimate settings and bold use of color, which is evident in this serigraph titled ‘Lucinda’. Three women are depicted sitting in a cafe, each with their own mood-driven color palette. Numbered 239/350, this serigraph comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Park West Gallery, registration number 103860.
