A Signed Charley, Brett, and Edie Harper Collaborative Work. This darling, and rare, work is a family affair, with entries from Charley, Brett and Edie Harper. Each piece uses black on pale blue, and is hand titled and signed in pencil by each artist. Framed in black, the various pieces by the Cincinnati-based Harper family are endearing and eye-catching. ‘Chinese Lantern’ by Brett Harper showcases his talent for capturing life in a charmingly tangential way. Charley Harper’s ‘Snake Snack’ is a wonderful play on shapes, with a long, lean snake, his big, round belly full. Edie Harper’s addition is ‘Butchie’, a lounging cat that seems so cool, we can only hope he was modeled after a real cat in her life.
