An original oil painting on stretched canvas titled ‘Marsh’ by Cincinnati native Will Wolter. The serene painting beautifully illustrates a marshy landscape at dusk in a palette of evening purple and dusky pink with the moon reflecting on the water. The strong horizon line and a skillful command of color are the artist’s signature style, both evident in this painting. The artist is also known to create bespoke frames to complement his work; this painting is signed in the lower left corner and presented in a black and gold wood frame.
Will Wolter studied at the William E. Gebhardt School of Art as a student of Paul Chidlaw and Lawrence Zinc. His work has been exhibited locally through Closson’s and The Cincinnati Art Galleries and is found in numerous collections both private and corporate.
