An original 1905-10 hand-colored photograph by well-listed Vermont artist Wallace Nutting (1861-1941), titled At the Fender. The image depicts a colonial woman seated in front of a large fireplace. A stunning mural painting covers the walls of her home, as she sits doing needlework. The print is set on an off-white backing that is signed and titled in pencil in the lower margin. The print is matted in white and is presented behind glass in a thin speckled gilt frame. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
