A collection of antique and vintage books. Brann-The Iconoclast: A Collection of the Writings of W.C. Brann in Two Volumes was copyrighted in 1898, and 1905, published by Herz Brothers, Waco, Texas. The two volumes include the writings of William Cowper Brann (1855-1898), who wrote for The Iconoclast and was known for his articulate criticism of religious conservatism and any other institution he considered hypocritical or sanctimonious. His early death is attributed to the fact that a man he had insulted shot him in the back on the street in Waco, Texas. Brann killed his attacker and died the next day.
Condition
Some of the bindings are in poor condition.
