S. Kirk & Son Coin Silver Repoussé Tea and Coffee Set

A coin silver repoussé tea and coffee set by S. Kirk & Son of Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1868-1896. The large size set include a coffee pot, two teapots, a creamer and lidded sugar bowl. The set vary slightly in repoussé motifs, featuring scenes such as pastoral farmhouses, castles and riding scenes surrounded in ornate floral motifs. To each monogram cartouche is a chased unicorn. The handles feature raised curved foliage, and grape bushel finials. The coffee and teapots have double ivory rings to the handles. Marked to base by maker and ‘11 oz’, translating to .9166% pure silver or coin silver.
