A signed, original mixed media painting by Los Angeles artist Christian Mengele. A stylized skull is painted against a background of spattered paint and pirate symbols in this painting on canvas. Dated 2010 and titled Pirate Gold to the verso. Signed by the artist to the lower right and to the verso. A certificate of authenticity is attached to the verso of the painting and lists the mediums used to create the painting as, ‘Acrylics, Oil Pastels, and Enamels’. Mengele’s highly stylized art is inspired by the folk art of Brazil and South Africa, places where the artist spent time in as a child. Painting is unframed with hanging hardware present to the verso.
