Antique Gorham Sterling Silver "Medici-Old" Flatware Set
Item Details
An antique set of sterling silver flatware by Gorham. The pattern is Medici-Old and was first introduced in 1880 and was discontinued in 1991. The set includes: 28 forks (6.75’), 13 oval soup spoons (7’), six teaspoons (5.75’), six demitasse spoons (4.25’), and one fruit or orange spoon (5.75’). The set sits in an wooden case with a blue felt silver tarnish lining. The set is marked with the three symbol Gorham hallmark and ‘Sterling’. Some of the utensils have additional marks such as ‘Copyrighted’ and monograms. The pieces that are monogrammed are done so on the reversed side of the pattern. There is a mixture of monograms such as ‘B’, ‘M’, and ‘AGC’.
The overall weight of the flatware is 69.920 troy ounces.
