Ladies' Barrel-Stave Trunk

Item Details

A lades’ barrel-stave trunk. The metal trunk has horizontal wooden staves and a barrel dome top. The leather lock straps and handles have broken off. The metal lock plate is cosmetically intact but does not latch. The drop-down dome compartment has a lithograph of a coy woman with a bird on either side of the door. The wooden, sectioned compartment tray has a lithograph of a woman in a necklace, and is accented with fabric piping. The inner, bottom compartment is lined.

Condition

The leather lock straps and handles have broken off. Lock does not latch. Much of the wood is battered.
