Chinoiserie China Cabinet with Stone and Shell Appliqué

A large chinoiserie china cabinet. This exquisite black lacquer cabinet is adorned with hand carved natural stone appliqué, abalone inlay, and hand painted accents all depicting flowers, exotic birds, bees, and fish. The cabinet has four doors each with an arched glass window and brass handles that are engraved with imagery of birds, foliage, and deer. The two center cabinets have stationary shelves and the two outer cabinets have removable shelves. Under the cabinets are four drawers with brass batwing handles. Below the drawers are four smaller cabinets with brass handles that are engraved with floral imagery. The piece is finished by a scalloped skirt. The top and the bottom of the cabinet split into two parts.
