Hand Colored Engraving "View of the Royal Hospital"
A 18th century hand tinted engraving titled A View of the Royal Hospital at Chelsea and the Rotunda in Ranelagh Gardens, London, 1751 engraved by Thomas Bowles, and published by Robert Sawyer. The print depicts a perspective of the hospital from across the River Thames. The image and title is printed backwards with the plate no. ‘37’ to the upper right. Captions, artist and publisher are printed to the lower margin. Presented behind glass in a thin black wooden frame; ready to hang.
