Willie Sargell Signed MVP Print

A Willie Stargell autographed print is in this lot. The original work was done by George Gaadt in 1979. Three images of Stargell are shown; the title of the poster says, ‘Willie Stargell M.V.P. 1979 World Series & National League Championship Series’ in black letters at the top and ‘M.V.P.’ in gold letters at the bottom. Willie signed his name on the image of himself that’s holding the bat; he signed his name with a thin black marker across the chest just above the ‘PIRATES’. Willie played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, 1962-1982. He was not only a great ball player, he was also a beloved leader for the Pirates. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1988. He passed away in 2001.
