A replica of Giambologna’s horse model, as shown in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This bonded bronze and patina statue, on a wooden base, is a replica of a model made for famous Italian sculptor Giambologna. Stamped ‘MMA 1984’
Giambologna used his original model to build the famous bronze statue of Cosimo I de’ Medici atop a horse; the statue stills stands in the Piazza della Signoria, the main square of Florence.
