Chinese "Wan Shou Chang Chun" Decorative Furniture Panel

A Chinese Wan Shou Chang Chun, or decorative furniture panel of nephrite jade, circa late 19th century. The panel is a rectangular shape and would have been used as a panel insert to decorate furniture. It is carved with characters, leaves and flower blossoms over the surface, with a crenellated pattern around the edges. It has a round cloisonne´ medallion in the center set in what appears to be brass, of bamboo trees and flower blossoms in bright colors against a bright blue background. Also included is a white jade and nephrite Chinese hair pin with a simple shape. Please note condition details.
Condition
- to fair. The panel has some inclusions and cracking with a discoloration spot to the front edge. The cloisonne´ medallion shows age. The jade hairpin has been cracked, and repaired.
