Vintage Wooden Peters Ammunition Box

Item Details

A vintage Peters small arms ammunition wood shipping box from the Peters Cartridge Division. The box is marked with a large red ‘P’ to the sides with details about the shell size within the font image, and open hand holds to each side. The box has nail joint construction to the sides and base. The Peters Cartridge Company was a company in Kings Mills, Ohio that specialized in gunpowder and ammunition production. Its historic buildings, built in 1916 at 1915 Grandin Road, were added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 10, 1985.
