"Generals of the Confederacy" Print with Hand-Colored Deatils
A 1960 offset lithographic print of portrait drawings by American artist David Silvette (1909-), titled Generals of the Confederacy. The drawing depict twelve prominent Confederacy generals wearing military uniforms; General Robert E. Lee’s portrait is the central focus of the image. Antique versions of the American and Confederate flags criss-cross behind the general’s image. The title of the piece is printed at its base, along with the artist’s name. The print is matted beige, and is presented behind non-glare glass in a mahogany-stained frame with gilt finish.
