Pair of 1940s Samsonite Luggage Pieces
Item Details
A pair of luggage pieces made by Samsonite in the 1940s. Hard shell luggage features a marbled wood grain design with leather trim and handles. Interior features fabric lining with houndstooth pattern, sectioned compartments, and gold tone traveling hangers. Exterior shells are marked with metal branding ‘Shwayder Bros. Inc. Samsonite Denver Detroit’.
Condition
Exterior of luggage shows wear, while the interior is in excellent cosmetic shape. Items would benefit from cleaning. Trim on largest piece of luggage shows wear consistent to use and age, would benefit from repair. Metal lock casing has broken off of one lock on largest piece of furniture. Keys to locks are not included.
