An early 20th-century framed original chalk pastel on board. This charming painting depicts a lovely young woman in profile, facing to the left of viewer, with bare shoulders and crossed hands. The woman’s features are delicately rendered with vibrant highlighting to her auburn hair. The luminous green background and immediate foreground are executed in sweeping brush strokes creating a soft, ethereal look. The painting is signed to the lower left corner with artist initials “S.L.J.” and the year “1913”, and framed in a grained wood frame with inner gold tone border.
