A framed print of ‘Washington Excursion’ by J. Franklin Brown done in 1968. This is one of the later works of art done by the artist as he passed in the early 1970s. This print depicts a paddle-wheel steamer traveling along a river. This steamboat was originally named ‘Sidney’ and was used in Upper Ohio. In 1921 her name was changed to ‘Washington’ and was taken to Mound City, Illinois. This charcoal sketch print is double matted with dark gray under light gray and set in a black and silver frame under glass. The artist’s printed signature is in the lower right corner.
