Flying Cloud Shadowbox by Turner Manufacturing

Item Details

A Flying Cloud Shadowbox by Turner Manufacturing. This wooden shadowbox contains a beautiful carving of the Flying Cloud, a clipper ship that held the world record for the fastest passage from New York to San Francisco for over one hundred years. She also had a female navigator during her record-setting passages, making her vibrant history even more remarkable.

This carved ship is bone white with delicate gold accents, and sits on a lush wool background. The brass plate on the bottom of the frame identifies the year and name of the ship, and the original sticker from Turning Mfg. is intact on the back of the frame. This nautical statement piece will have you saying "anchor’s aweigh!"

Condition
