"Your Wate and Fate" Character Readings Scale

Item Details

A Your Wate and Fate Character Readings Scale. Produced by the American Manufacturing Company in the early 20th century, fortune scales like this one were extremely popular in small shops and cafes. Operated by entering a mere penny into the slot that corresponds with your birthday month, this scale offers your "wate and fate", and populates life advice on an interior wheel. This "fate" can be viewed through the glass top, which is also where your actual weight is displayed. A useful and oddball piece of Americana, owning this scale may be your destiny!
