Vernon Manor Stanchions

Item Details

A Pair of Vernon Manor Stanchions. Completed in 1924, Vernon Manor became a Cincinnati staple for seasoned travelers. Deemed "the place to stay" for traveling musicians, the Manor featured 177 rooms, as well as apartment suites for wealthier residents. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and John F. Kennedy were all visitors, and many scenes from the 1988 film "Rain Man" were filmed at the hotel as well. Vernon Manor served as an upscale hotel until 1977, when it was sold due to lack of business.

According to the owner, these stanchions once stood proudly in Vernon Manor. Both made of brass, the stanchions have elegant lines down their posts, and are accompanied by a velvet rope, ideal for a true VIP.

Condition

Good vintage condition. Rope is in great shape. Stanchions could use polishing.
