Female Nude Oil on Canvas

Item Details

A female nude oil painting on canvas having a classical renaissance style. The subject is seen only from the back, completely unclothed, but appearing to clutch a draping fabric with unseen hands. The form is Rubens-esque with a contorted, or unnatural feel as seen in the curvature of the spine and asymmetrical proportions. Set in an appropriate giltwood frame with ornate design. Signature may possibly be hidden under frame but without certainty.

Condition

Small round indentation towards right side in the background. Does not appear to have punctured or penetrated through the canvas.
