A pair of unframed original encaustic paintings by Marilyn Pfanstiel. Artist and author Marilyn Dixon Pfanstiel lives in Lexington, Kentucky. The two paintings are free form, one is signed. The painting in red is titled Bursting Forth. The painting in green has no title. Encaustic art is hot wax painting using heated beeswax mixed with various colored pigments. Any medium can be used including wood and canvas. Artists can continue to layer or manipulate the hot wax to their satisfaction.
Condition
Unframed on hard boards. Care needs to be taken in handling so as not to damage the surface.
