All books are hardback, gray in color with blue writing on the front cover and an illustration. Books are written by various historians and edited by Time Life editors. In the front pages it reads ‘This volume is one of a series that chronicles in full the events of the American Civil War, 1861—1865.’ Books are varying numbers of pages. There are 28 books in this collection. Owner’s signature and embossed name inside, other than that no writing. Some dust from age, and a few have some light yellow staining.
