Original Louis Icart Aquatint Drypoint Etching "Parrots"

Item Details

An original 1925 aquatint drypoint etching by very well-listed French-American artist Louis Icart (1888-1950), titled Parrots. This nostalgic image depicts a woman seated on the floor next to three lively blue and yellow parrots. The woman is wrapped in loose, thin white material that is slipping way at one side, revealing her chest. She smiles gracefully upwards towards the birds. The print is signed by the artist in the lower right. Copyright information that dates the piece to 1925 is printed along the upper margin of the image. The print is matted in off-white and presented behind glass in a simple gilt frame. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging. More information about the artist can be found at the link below.
