M I Hummel Madonna and Child Figurine

A M. I. Hummel porcelain Madonna and child figurine. The beautiful Madonna figure is wearing an orange gown and draped in a flowing blue robe. She tenderly gazes toward her seated child, as she holds his right hand. The child’s gaze is focused on a single red rose clutched in his left hand. The figurine is larger in size than traditional Hummel figurines and has delicately rendered facial details. Embossed Hummel mark to lower back. The base is stamped with mold ‘151’ and bears the blue ‘Goebel W. Germany’ mark and a hand written ‘CB 81’ in black.

Condition

- There is crazing to glaze. Wear and residue to finish with some rubbing to rose edges.
